muddy buddy 2003 was yesterday in san jose… after getting up at 5:15 am in order to make it down to the race ontime, sean, cheryl, amy and i competed in the leap frog race where one buddy rides a mt bike while the other buddy runs… the race is a total of about 10k – so you run about 5k and bike about 5k… you transition between running and biking 4 times throughout the race – with an obstacle in between! it was a great race – lots of fun – i think i’ll even train a little next year! oh and since it is called muddy buddy – there must be a reason for it… that would be the 30 yard or so mud puddle at the end of the race… what can be better – adults playing in the mud! so obviously there are some pictures here….
